CATA "Mobile Platform" Innovation Award, May 2010
The CATAAlliance (Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance) honoured Alcatel-Lucent with a prestigious Innovation Award at their 25th annual Gala, for the company’s work driving mobile connectivity through the ng Connect Program. Dan Dodge, CEO, QNX Software Systems presented Silvio Fernandez, Senior Director of Emerging Technology & Media at Alcatel-Lucent with the ‘Mobile Platform’ category award for the company’s leadership in the development of the LTE Connected Car. Mr. Fernandez also participated in a panel discussion on the future of mobility with Mr. Dodge and Ben Riley, U.S. Defense Department.
OCRI Strategic Partnership Award, April 2010
Steve West, Alcatel-Lucent (L) and Derrick Keefe, QNX Software Systems (R) accept the 2010 Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI) Strategic Partnership Award for our joint work, as two Ottawa-based companies, in the ng Connect Program. OCRI is the lead economic development agency in Ottawa, which is Canada's national capital city. QNX and Alcatel-Lucent were selected for their collaboration on the LTE Connected Car solution concept.
