V-Gate joins ng Connect Program to drive development of LTE and emerging 4G broadband network services and market

Aachen, Germany, October 7, 2009 — V-Gate today announced its participation in the ng Connect Program, a new multi-industry initiative which is driving the development of next generation broadband services based on Long Term Evolution (LTE) and other ultra high bandwidth technologies. V-Gate provides innovative solutions for telematics and the transmission of 3D content to mobile devices. V-Gate will launch the first mobile ride sharing community “caribo” in October 2009.
caribo is a service which allows users to combine all available transportation options in one application on a passenger’s mobile device: Everywhere, at any time, in the same way with an extremely user-friendly interface. caribo eliminates the drawbacks associated with existing ridesharing, car sharing, taxi-finding systems by combining the newest mobile internet, geo-positioning and community technology in an easy-to-use service. www.caribo.mobi
V-Gate also offers Metaport, a new solution for transmitting 3D content to mobile devices. Metaport empowers applications such as Second Life or 3D games on mobile devices using mobile networks. V-Gate calls this innovative invention “Virtual Reality To Go”.
